Recherche d'intérêts
The main role of my team at CFIA is to conduct nationwide retail surveys on targeted food commodities (e.g., fresh fruits and vegetables) to investigate the presence and levels of priority and/or emerging foodborne pathogens, including parasites such as Cyclospora, Cryptosporidium, Giardia and Toxoplasma. The objective of these surveys is to obtain Canadian baseline information on selected food hazard combinations to help identify trends in microbiological contamination and estimate the prevalence of pathogens of concern in foods available on the Canadian marketplace.
