Recherche d'intérêts
Assessing waterborne parasites, including their sources, transmission and survival in the environment. Emphasis on Cryptosporidium and Giardia, but also emerging parasites of importance to human health. Research includes comparing parasitic and bacterial pathogens in drinking water source. Particular interest in the development and optimization of molecular detection and characterization methods for pathogens from environmental samples. Effects of environmental conditions and water treatment processes on survival and removal of pathogens.
